'NOTHIN'
FINER THAN LEMONADE FROM WEIMER'
The 5th
grade class of Mr. David Johnson at Weimer Elementary
participated in an Entrepreneurship Week project on February 26,
2007
at the state Capitol.
Entrepreneurship Week is sponsored by Advantage Valley
in cooperation with the WV Department of Education.
The
Advantage Valley Lemonade Stand Project teaches students how to
start, operate and succeed at a business.
The students had a net profit of $187
(after repayment of a $100 loan from Star Federal Credit Union)
to use toward their end-of-school-year trip.

Coach Kidd even agreed to be the mascot to
help the kids!
Coach and Libby decided to help the students by doing a remote
broadcast to
promote their delicious lemonade and free cookies!
CK and LJ wanted the students to learn that Advertising and
Marketing
are also essential to a successful business!
Only 5
students are permitted to attend the event but the entire class
of
George C. Weimer Elementary School in St. Albans
participated in the project and they all did an A+ job!
Other
teachers who helped include Janis Priddy and Bev Sanney.
Weimer Principal Suzanne Armstrong was also on hand to show her
support.
